5 Most Frequently Asked Questions by Developers

By Author: Team Agora In Developer

As you develop the next generation of apps utilizing voice, video, and live interactive broadcasting capabilities, you will likely have some questions. We created a list of the most common questions we are asked to make it easier for you.

  • Q: How many broadcast audience members does Agora support?
A: We support up to 200,000 audience members in a single channel during a live broadcast.
  • Q: Is Agora a CDN?
A: No. Agora differs from a traditional CDN, Agora’s network neither caches nor stores data. Agora’s algorithms adaptively routes packets as quickly as possible from end to end, providing ultra-low latency.
  • Q: Can I use Agora to broadcast my own RTMP stream?
A: Yes. You can pull an RTMP stream into the Agora SD-RTN and publish it just like any other stream.
  • Q: Does Agora support simulcasting to CDNs?
A: Yes. Agora supports pushing multiple RTMP streams from our SD-RTN to a traditional CDN.
  • Q: Which platforms can I use Agora on?
A: Agora supports all major platforms and frameworks including iOS, Android, Windows, Mac, Unity3D, Cocos, React Native, and Xamarin.
